Schedule of Indian Constitution
সংবিধানের মূল লিখিত অংশের মধ্যে শিডিউল (Schedule of Indian Constitution) অন্তর্ভুক্ত নয়। সংবিধানের অতিরিক্ত সংযোজন হিসেবে এটি ধরা হয়। ভারতের সংবিধান এমনিতেই বড় হওয়ায় অতিরিক্ত সংযোজনকেও যদি মূল পার্ট এর মধ্যে নিয়ে আসা হয় তাহলে জটিল আকার ধারণ করত। তাই সংবিধান প্রণেতারা অতিরিক্ত সংযোজন হিসেবে সংবিধানের শেষ অংশে শিডিউল অন্তর্ভুক্ত করেছেন।

WBCS, SSC, UPSC, Rail, PSC র পরীক্ষাতে ভারতীয় সংবিধান এর এই পার্ট থেকে ১ টা বা ২ টো প্রশ্ন থাকে। এই স্টাডি ম্যাট পড়লেই যে কোনও পরীক্ষায় Schedule of Indian Constitution থেকে যে কোনও প্রশ্নের সঠিক উত্তর দেওয়া যাবে।
সংবিধান রচনার সময় মোট ৮ টি শিডিউল ছিল। পরবর্তীকালে আরও ৪ টি শিডিউল যোগ হওয়ায় বর্তমানে শিডিউলের সংখ্যা ১২ টি।

First Schedule| Schedule of Indian Constitution
First Schedule: It contains the list of the States, their territorial jurisdiction and list of the Union Territories and their extent. Now there are 28 States and 8 Union Territories. This schedule covers Article 1 and 4.
There are 28 states and 8 Union territories in the country.
✔ The first state in India which was created on linguistic basis in Andhrapradesh (Founded by the States Reorganisation Act, 1956, dated ist November, 1956). Before Foundation it was part of Andhra State and Hyderabad State.
✔ The state Telangana formed on 2nd June, 2014 (the territories specified in section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014). Before Foundation it was part of Andhra Pradesh. Telangana (out of Andhra Pradesh), when it was eventually created in 2014, became India’s 29th state.
✔ Two union territories Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh were formed by the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019. Before Foundation they were Part of Jammu and Kashmir State. The reorganisation took place on 31 October 2019.
✔ Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu founded by the Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu (Merger of Union Territories) Act, 2019.
Second Schedule| Schedule of Indian Constitution
Second Schedule: It contains the emoluments, allowances, privileges to the following personalities:
1) President of India
2) The Governors of States
3) The Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Loksabha and Legislative Assembly in the States
4) The Chairman and the Deputy Chairman of the Rajyasabha and the Legislative Council in the States
5) The Judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts and
6) The Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
This schedule covers the Articles 59(3), 65(3), 75(6), 97, 125, 148(3), 158(3), 164(5), 186 and 221.
Third Schedule| Schedule of Indian Constitution
Third Schedule: It contains the Oaths or Affirmation for the following personalities:
1) Minister for the Union and States
2) Member of Parliament
3) Member of the Legislature of a State
4) Judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts
5) The Comptroller and Auditor-General of India
This Schedule covers the Articles 75(4), 99, 124(6), 148(2), 164(3),188 and 219.
Fourth Schedule| Schedule of Indian Constitution
Fourth Schedule: It contains the allocation of seats of each States and Union Territory in the Council of States (Rajya Sabha). This Schedule covers Article 4(1) and 80(2).
Fifth Schedule| Schedule of Indian Constitution
Fifth Schedule: It contains the administration and control of Scheduled Areas and Scheduled Tribes. This Schedule covers Article 244(1).
Sixth Schedule| Schedule of Indian Constitution
Sixth Schedule: It provides for the administration of Tribal areas of Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram. This Schedule covers the Articles 244(2) and 275(1).
Seventh Schedule| Schedule of Indian Constitution
Seventh Schedule: It contains the allocation of powers and functions between the Union and the States. There are three lists— i) Union list contains 97 subjects over which the Union Government has an exclusive authority, ii) State list contains 66 subjects over which states have exclusive authority and iii) Concurrent list contains 47 subjects over which the Union and the States have concurrent powers. This Schedule covers Article 246.
Eighth Schedule| Schedule of Indian Constitution
Eighth Schedule: It contains Languages of India recognized by the Constitution. Presently there are 22 Languages .These are- Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Mathilli, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali,Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil ,Telugu and Urdu. This Schedule covers the articles 344(1) and 351.
Of these languages, 14 were initially included in the Constitution.
Sindhi language was added by the 21st Amendment Act of 1967.
Konkani, Manipuri, and Nepali were included by the 71st Amendment Act of 1992.
Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, and Santhali were added by the 92nd Amendment Act of 2003 which came into force in 2004.
Ninth Schedule| Schedule of Indian Constitution
Ninth Schedule: The schedule was created to abolish the zamindari system by placing land reforms. This schedule contains Acts and Orders relating to land reforms passed by the Union Government and the State Governments. This Schedule was added by the Constitution (first amendment) Act,1951. It covers Article 31B.
The West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1956 (Amendments appended: 31 of 2000, 18 of 2003, 28 of 2010, 6 of 2012, 19 of 2017, 42 of 2017, 43 of 2017, 25 of 2018)
Tenth Schedule| Schedule of Indian Constitution
Tenth Schedule: It was added by the Constitution (52nd Amendment) Act, 1985. This Schedule relates with disqualification of the members of Parliament and State Legislatures on the ground of defection. It covers Article 102(2) and 191(2).
Eleventh Schedule| Schedule of Indian Constitution
Eleventh Schedule: This Schedule was added by the 73rd Amendment Act of 1992. It contains 29 matters on which Panchayats have authority to function. It covers Article 243G.
Twelfth Schedule| Schedule of Indian Constitution
Twelfth Schedule: This Schedule was added by the 74th Amendment Act of 1992. It contains 18 matters on which Municipalities have authority to function. It covers Article 243W.
